The "Scalificio Riminese" (ladder manufacturer in Rimini) was funded in 1890 and - following several structural changes and product developments - built in the early '50s its first fully mechanic truck mounted ladder.
In the early '70 the Company was taken over by "Gentili Oleodinamica" and the the name GSR stands for Gentili Scalificio Riminese, the merging Company created by its actual President Mr Vincenzo Gentili.
Years of experience made in the lifting-equipment industry combined with strategic investments in research and development in mechanics and hydraulics brought the product-range to improve rapidly with new and innovative models of aerial work platforms. This granted GSR the acquisition of important orders from some of the major actors in the National economy such as ENEL (National Energy Co.), SIP (telecommunications), the National Railway Co. and the Ministry of Defence.
In the 1990s, GSR increased significantly its penetration of the main European markets, supplying most reputed rental companies and rapidly becoming one of Europe's most important and acknowledged manufacturer of aerial work platforms.
Starting from the early days great attention was devoted to the application of the latest safety norms and to a constant technological updating of the product range. For this reason GSR products' high level of reliability is widely recognized.
Today GSR is an important asset, constantly expanding and with great perspectives of further development, whose premises cover a surface of over 10.000 square meters, operating in its national market through a nationwide sales - and after-sales network and represented in the main European and extra-European Countries.
