11/04/2012 - October sees the 30th anniversary of the great Exhibition of outdoor products at the heart of the Mediterranean region, with the introduction of 2 new exhibiting sectors.
The engine and the reflection of an expanding market, for 30 years SUN – organized in the beautiful setting of the Rimini Expo Center – has been a privileged platform at the heart of the Mediterranean region, where the main players in the international outdoor furnishing business (from the concept to production, from distribution to marketing and down to delivery) can enjoy a privileged overview of emerging trends and creativity, unique by reach and size.
An extraordinary stage outlining the new scenarios of outdoor design & living with a more and more comprehensive range of products and suggestions. A huge creative lab, with this 30th edition SUN blends creativity, visions, and talents opening up like a
true trend-book, rich of suggestions that draw the attention towards the most original and predictive features of outdoor furniture, as well as of outdoor lifestyle in all respects.
Materials, languages, and messages unveiling the future of standard production and of nonconformist, innovative, provocative flairs. A privileged key for interpretation to open the doors to the beautiful kingdom of outdoor design, where great things happen to ensure an almost magic wellbeing. 3 days of exhibitions, special events, workshops, installations, meetings, and business: the 30th edition of the International Exhibition of Outdoor Products (12 halls, a 90,000 sq. m. surface, 700 exhibitors, 25,000 professional visitors from 47 Countries in 2011) offers a comprehensive range of outdoor new entries and previews for the 2013 season.
The 30th edition introduces 2 new exhibiting areas:
GARDEN_Sun – the new reference point for plant and flower nurseries, green design, and gardening/DIY equipment – and DEC’OR x 365 – dedicated to home decoration, flowers, and Christmas – where Sun offers objects, accessories, textiles, and furnishing items for indoor and outdoor use, expanding its reach to include Christmas and festivity items.
8 exhibiting sectors are confirmed:
OUT_Style (outdoor furnishing, lighting, accessories, and systems), Sea_Style (furnishing and equipment for bathing establishments), SUNaquae (hydro-massage equipment and mini-SPAs), Urban_Style (urban furnishing), OUT_Floor (floors and pathways), SUN_Contract (large-scale supplies), Giosun (toys and outdoor games), Camping&Village Show (open-air tourist equipment).

Installations and ambiances where creativity, visions, and scenes draw the attention towards the most original and predictive features of inside-out living, in co-operation with stage designers, archistars, talents, and leading companies.
Young Talent Shows
Courses and international competitions for emerging designers to give life to workshops unveiling the new signs, dreams, and symbols of outdoor design; partnerships with high-prestige Universities to show the upcoming evolutions and needs of inside-out living to the public, the press, and the market.

Furnishing, outfits, accessories and design for open-air living: a ground for formal and material experimentation, most often entrusted to the genius, imagination, and creativity of a growing number of designers. In favour of small and large communities.
