24/10/2012 - NOVAGUE
has presented its last creation at 100% Design
for London Design Week 2012
. They have presented the latest work of the Peter Novague: the EDGE chair
, stackable aluminum chair inspired by origami.
Behind an appealing design and fantastic ergonomics of the EDGE chair
are two years of ongoing development. The EDGE Chair
has a deceptively simple proposition: a laser cut of aluminum plate
, which is then bent and welded according to the strict ergonomic parameters of the design, with a comaxite finish. The chair can be made in a six shining of colors and possible surface modifications and can be stacked for further ease of use with its lightweight design.
The EDGE chair
stands for a new vision of a design future which is populated by bold designs, invoking a call for clarity in form and execution. With reliance on a rigorous design process which aims to optimize and streamline the product for its intended application, Petr Novague has created a product that can both aim to please with its aesthetic form but also challenge its immediate context. The EDGE chair by Novague is winner of 2012 Red Dot Design Award
