The architecture, far from being simply a container or display space, is conceived as a metaphor for the peculiar tension in the research process intrinsic to the project. A dedicated hall offers visitors the possibility of composing their lighting performance through the revolutionary Smart Control system, a special device created by Flos Architectural for managing spotlights positioned at height. Here it is interpreted by staging a piece of theatre in an abstract atmosphere, arousing emotions through interaction.
The Flos booth also hosted the new Flos with Sarfatti collection in a dedicated, stand-alone area, as the result of the company’s exclusive agreement with Alessandro Sarfatti, Gino Sarfatti’s grandson and founder of the company Astep, for the latter’s re-edition and distribution of a fine selection of models designed by one of the greatest talents in Italian and international design and lighting history.
