Claste, HOW FRAGILE THIS LOVE

Claste, HOW FRAGILE THIS LOVE

By combining an in-depth knowledge of traditional techniques of craftsmanship and artistry with a desire to push the boundaries of what is possible, Claste has created a collection which blends the familiar with the extraordinary and stands at the crossroads of art and design, timelessness and modernity.

Consisting of a series of bold and evocative elements using a limited material palette comprised of glass and stone, every piece of Tension is assembled with an eye to eliciting the tension inherent in the nature of each material.

Claste, AND HERE I SIT

The collection highlights Claste’s innovative and moving approach to timeless, elegant furniture. This series has been designed to challenge prevailing perspectives and perceptions by de-familiarizing the everyday so as to make the act of sitting a conscious rather than an unconscious act. The ideas of fragility and stability are core to the experience of the collection, creating pieces that look impossibly stable yet simultaneously grounded which embrace tension rather than reject it so as to enhance and transform the commonplace into something transcendent and profound.

Claste works closely with the finest artisans at all stages of the development process. Every step from design conception to finishing is analyzed and refined ensuring that all their work is infused with a unique expression of ingenuity and permanence.

Curating and Collecting Claste pieces is as much a statement about the power of the object as it is an expression of the space around it.
