Magis playful spirit invades Times Square
16/05/2018 - Magis returns to the Design Pavilion with a bold expression of vivid color, organic forms, and a playful spirit.

Because Magis constantly challenges its design partners to achieve greater technological sophistication, its products are recognized as much for their innovative use of materials and production techniques as they are for their original designs. This is demonstrated in the products featured - from the bold geometry of Chair_One designed by Konstantin Grcic that blends structure, logic, and comfort to the sinuous simplicity of Jaime Hayon’s Milà Chair. Times Square is once again a playground with the Thomas Heatherwick designed Spun and a parade of the Eero Aarnio designed Puppy. Images courtesy of Herman Miller, Inc.

Furthermore it was arranged a competition in cooperation with Arts Thread: this year Magis presence - in partnership with Herman Miller- at Design Pavilion in Times Square for NYCxDESIGN wanted to involve the local community, the design schools and the design students in developing the installation’s area.

Arts Thread International, based in London, UK, administered the Magis Mural Competition for this showcase in Times Square. With Magis, they challenged New York based students. Images courtesy of Herman Miller, Inc.
