16/05/2018 - 'Together' is a key word that places relationships at the centre of the design system and summarizes Arper’s values for the 2018 collection: Balance, Intuition, Family, Colour, Lightness and Play. Among the new products presented at Salone del Mobile, the Paravan divider collection and Arcossofa, designed by Lievore Altherr.
A perimeter to define space. Paravan is sculptural in form and architectural in execution, both articulating and creating space. Like parentheses to enclose a conversation, Paravan creates intimacy in open areas with sound absorbing panels to support focus, concentration, and collaboration.
The Paravan collection is a modular language of panels that can be combined to create new expressions to delineate space. From basic quadrants to elegant curves, from linear forms to irregular repetitions, Paravan lends pattern, rhythm and colour to wide open spaces.
Options for straight or rounded corners create aesthetic variety while kaleidoscopic material finishes ensure the collection can be customized to meet the needs of any space.
The Paravan collection is ideally suited for the lounge, co-working, or contract use and features an optional coat hanger or shelf for added functionality. The graceful lines and graphic colour combinations match the entire Arper family of collections for a unified integrity of expression in large spaces.
The Arcos collection expands to include a three-seat option. This new couch is expansive in form and minimal in expression. Retaining the same cast aluminium armrests that evoke classical archways and architecture, this new version provides generous length to comfortably accommodate three people.
Arcos is available in four seating configurations: chair, lounge chair, two-seat or three-seat sofa. Each is created with a sled base and integrated armrests made of polished or powder-coated aluminium. The shell can be upholstered in a wide selection of material finishes, with matching powder-coated armrests. Because of the four options for seating, the Arcos collection can be combined or repeated to create many different seating environments for hospitality, residential and contract use.
