The problem of degraded concrete and masonry floors can be solved by using FIBREBUILD systems, and namely by laying a FRP mesh in the intrados of the floors, carefully secured to the beams.
When the only requirement is to restore the safety of the floors, the FRP mesh will simply prevent the masonry elements from falling. In this case, the floor intrados will be finished with a false ceiling.
When the need arises to improve the mechanical performance of a floor, then a concrete panel reinforced with a FRP mesh will be installed and anchored to the structure with appropriate fixing elements.
