TANSSI | Napkin
Tanssi - meaning ‘dance’ in Finnish - is a new tableware collection illustrated by London-based Finnish artist Klaus Haapaniemi. The Tanssi pattern has been inspired by the visual designs by Klaus Haapaniemi for the Finnish National Opera production of The Cunning Little Vixen, a Czech opera by Leoš Janáček. The sad yet beautiful story exploring the co-existence of animals, humans and the eternal cycle of life, comes alive in Haapaniemi’s rich designs on tableware created by Finnish designer Heikki Orvola.
Tanssi introduces mythology into everyday tableware. It makes a good addition to any current Iittala collection, and goes well with basic pieces such as Teema, or the everyday Kartio glasses. In addition to the ceramic pieces, the Tanssi range includes also interior textiles that bring the Tanssi story alive also on home interior.
Tanssi - Paper napkin.
The Tanssi pattern is full of colourful inhabitants of a mystical forest. The design was inspired by a Czech opera, The Cunning Little Vixen. Tanssi paper napkins bring a touch of the mystique story to any table setting.
