- Wütop® 150/150 2SK roof underlays can be laid directly on the thermal insulation, between the beams or on the wood planking of pitched and ventilated roofs.
- Begin laying from the bottom and, holding the underlay slightly taut, proceed parallel to the line of the eaves.
- Attach the underlay to the beams (with discontinuous support) or to the planking (with continuous support) with crimping in the overlap area (marked with a cut-off line) 5 cm from the edge.
- The next layer should be laid so that it overlaps the previous one by at least 10 cm (see marking on the edge). If the roof is not very steep, the layers should overlap by at least 20 cm. The overlap should always be glued and sealed with adhesive tapes from the Eurasol®, Eurasol® Max, Euradop®range or with Wütop WRD adhesive.
- Fix the layers in place with counter battens. We recommend applying Eurasol® nail sealing tape under each counter batten to avoid the risk of water infiltration. Fixing with staples only serves as a support during laying. Permanent fixing must always be carried out using counter battens. Anyone mounting underlay without counter battens does so at their own risk!
- Vertical overlay must be laid over a beam or solid support and must be glued and sealed with tape from the Eurasol® range (see above) or with Wütop® WRD adhesive.
- At openings or interruptions on the roof (chimneys, skylights etc.), the underlay should be cut and positioned so that it prevents water from infiltrating. Surround the element with the underlay and raise it at the sides, glue and seal the joints with adhesive tapes from the Eurasol® range (see above).
- Damage such as cuts or cracks must be repaired using pieces of the same underlay glued and sealed with Eurasol® Max adhesive tape. More minor damage can be repaired directly with that same adhesive tape.
- When laying the underlay, carefully check that it is in perfect condition and that there is no damage of any kind (cuts, abrasions etc.).
- The final roof cover (tiles) must be laid within a maximum of three months of the underlay being laid, to prevent damage from UV rays.
- In ventilated roofs, the underlay should always be installed so as to ensure appropriate air flow between the eaves and the peak.
