MAKI

Modular HPL bench

Manufacturer Crassevig

design by
Maki Collection
Straight lines, curved lines and circles are the three basic graphic forms that have given shape to Maki, a new bench designed by Drill Design for Crassevig.
Less is more” is the core stylistic concept in all of Crassevig’s products, including this new offering designed by Yusuke Hayashi and Yoko Yasunishi. A few simple elements serve as the ideal modules for creating endless seating solutions with Maki, which was mainly conceived for public spaces, museums and waiting rooms.
Maki benches are made of plywood covered with veneers or high pressure laminates and they come in a number of sophisticated hues. Their distinguishing feature is an array of holes which are decorative while also acting as an attachment system for accessories such as padding.
The tubular metal frames come in two lengths (120 cm and 180 cm) and a corner version. They can be combined in any shape in order to cater to the space available in total freedom.
