MACLURA

Reconstructed stone outdoor chair

Manufacturer SAS ITALIA - Aldo Larcher

(2011)
A Pouf inspired by nature, made from artificial stone with a natural finish that is gentle both on the eye and to the touch. Its oval shape and engraved decoration are inspired by an autumnal fruit, the Maclura Pomifera. It is a piece of outdoor furniture that can be used in gardens, on terraces or in public spaces. It is manufactured with exposed aggregate concrete and comes in Grey, Black and White; it also comes in polished concrete in Grey. The Maclura Pouf was designed by Gaia Descovich, an Italian designer and architect trained in Florence. She began her career in London and currently lives in Bologna. She has worked on restoration projects, on various museum projects, and has created interior designs for cultural spaces such as the Casa di Giorgio Morandi Museum. The main inspiration in all of her work comes from nature and the social use of architecture and design.
