Giers: "Originally there was the word: Akus-tisch. My acquaintance with the artist Elmar Daucher, who made stones sound by cutting into them, gave me the idea, to vary repeatedly Daucher’s stone sounds by random-check generator. The load bearing cube purposely points optically to Elmar Daucher’s work." Limited Edition: 1 piece Some adjectives in the German language have the ending "-tisch" equivalent to "-tic" in the English language. The artist took his inspiration from German adjectives with this ending, which as a noun "Tisch" is the German word for "table". This play on words can be explained but, unfortunately, not be translated.
