Teak is a tropical hardwood species of the Verbena family (Verbenaceae). The colour of teak wood varies from pale yellow to bronze and
even red at times. It contains an oily resin which makes it extremely durable and resistant to termites. Teak wood floors are very glossy
and, owing to its significant resistance to harmful weather conditions as well as constant dimensional stability, it is the most suitable type
of wood for outdoor applications. Another important feature of the teak wood is that it does not crack or deform when in contact with
screws and hardware.

The Listoplate wood is steam-treated, which reduces its inner size and gives an almost total stability to the strips, thus preventing the
occurrence of the typical in aesthetic bending and deformations of wood after its cyclic exposure to cold-hot and wet-dry weather.
Slight bending or very small deformations may occur even after the steam-treatment because of the natural properties and the unique features of the wood.
