Nonchalance is a creation that defies categories and definitions, a flexible object poised between art and design. Two large cushions, one above the other, appear to stay in place almost magically and add strong visual and decorative impact to any interior. Supported by a white steel plate and seemingly without function, the object is a vehicle for highlighting fabrics, patterns and finishes. Its true function is revealed when the cushions are opened with a zip and, using a very simple system of folds and stitches, turns into a chaise longue that rests softly on the floor, ready to welcome us. It changes nonchalantly, moving between design and illusion, art and function, creating a new type of product and not just new seating.
