"This circus is a sensory experience that never leaves you. It’s magical. It’s mystical. It’s larger than life."
With festivity, Marcel Wanders delivers iconic kitchenware designed to capture the spectacle only found under the big top.
Using bold, geometric patterns of circles, stripes, conic shapes, and colours such as white, black, yellow, red and gold, each piece reminds of historical symbols from the circus universe resonating an experience of wonder and amusement.
"Ballerina" is a light-footed female pachyderm with a penchant for ballet. She dances with her partner, a little mouse enchanted by her talent, performing a pirouette atop a golden ball. Two romantic characters dreamed up by Marcel Wanders to animate this poetical carillon.
The platform on which the duo perform their dance routine houses the mechanism that produces the tune, for which Wanders chose Entry of the Gladiators by Julius Fučík, the well-known melody that heralds the start of circus shows the world over.
Carillon polished 18/10 stainless steel.
