Bloèmi is a pendant acoustic lamp iconographically inspired by tulips. The light becomes soft, relaxing, romantic and at the same time incredibly cool: when it is switched on the light passes through the soft, padded petals of the flower lamp, enveloping everyone with its calming atmosphere.
Arranged in a ring the sections overlap so they each rest behind the one before and hide the metallic frame from view. Six petals are fixed to a hexagonal metal structure, which also holds the bulb in the centre. The slight roundness of the petals is reproduced through the padding of the panels of the lampshade, slightly overlapped with each another. The lamps hang from the ceiling on a thin wire and the electrical cord meanders up to the ceiling rose.
''Bloèmi is the result of a research around making an organic form with traditional toolings. Disposing flat padded panels around the light, the result is a soft overlapping composition that reminds the shape of a flower.''
The 'petals' are upholstered and fabricated with an acoustic fabric and foam which contributes to a better acoustic atmosphere.
