Oak wall/floor tiles
Wooden flooring is a long-term investment and quality is a number one requirement. Our oak wood comes from France from sustainably managed forests. The planks come in solid and
engineered hardwood and are fitted by tongueand- groove connections and vary in width from 14 to 28 cm. This variation of widths offers warmth and elegance. The planks have an average length of 220cm to 240cm. The initial thickness is 20 mm but can be reduced down to 15 or 10 mm as required.
To glue the floors down, a specific water-free mono or bi component epoxy-polyurethane adhesive can be used directly on any wooden subfloors or on screed that has previously been coated by 2 coats of primer (a resin that hardens and insulates against any remaining moisture). No laying can be done directly on resurfacing or releveling coating.
In normal ambient humidity level, the wood will not extend/warp anymore. The wooden flooring can be oiled or waxed providing it with a beautiful patina. No sanding is required. The same wood and method of floor laying can also be used to cover your staircases, walls and ceilings and make skirting boards or heating vents. Our colouring process is natural and uses no synthetic dyes, it is the result of a reaction with the tannins present in the oak to allow for the colour to be impregnated which is carried out in our workshop.
