The recent evolution of the equipments for loading the goods in the cold stores, led to recessed loading bays with dock levellers ending 50 cm inside the external façade, as to allow the sectional door to close the front of the dock leveller, agains the insulated panel. Another problem to solve, in order to reduce the thermal loss, were the two side "pockets" inside which the sectional door had to slide down below the pavement for closing the front of the leveller. Their construction was very complicated and expensive and had to be particularly sturdy. being in overhang, to keep the bumps of the docking vehicles against the bumpers fit on them. More, the pockets had insufficient than demanded by the EN safety clearances. The recessed dock prefabricated Campisa system solves all these problems in once, giving top thermal insulation, quickness and easiness of building, perfection, and allowing the installation of the levellers only after all "wet trades" are finished, preserving the leveller from chemical attacks.
