The dock leveller, connected to a vehicle truck-bed is "an inert bridge" that follows the vertical movements of the vehicle during the loading.
The leveller in rest position has a safe support and in this position it can be crossed at full load. .
The functioning cycle is grant by a single button command (dead man), with the following sequence:
- depressed button: the leveller raises until maximum lift where the lip swivels outside
- at extended lip, release the button and the leveller gently lowers to contact with the truck bed
- the loading is made
- for the return to rest-position – to be made before the departure of the vehicle – depress the button and release ti with the closed lip, before the maximum lift (that starts again the swivelling out of the lip), the leveller gently lowers to the rest position.
NOTE: Campisa swivelling lip dock levellers have a double-effect lip cylinder, that grants the return to zero position and its entrance into the two rest position blocks, without any greasing or maintenance. The lip has self-cleaning hinges, that do not retain fragments of wooden pallets and dirtiness.
