Taffeta fabric with floral pattern
The 2012 collection takes a close-up look at the concepts of three-dimensionality and depth. Finishes normally used for clothing give these solid fabrics relief and three-dimensional effects, an experiment into volumes and space that has the observer imagining depth and distance. Colours are in line with the times, meeting an in increasingly more urgent need for trendy yet versatile articles. Fashionable shades, neutrals like mink or taupe are interrupted and brightened by iridescent colourful flowers. Kaleidoscopic use of colours and shapes enhance that “classic trendy” feel that has always characterised our company.
The printed thread of BLUMEI 3165 lends uncertainty and vagueness to edges. This is a very wide fabric with a taffeta base, floral print warp and other brocaded flowers. The depth is pictorial and, especially in its bolder colour variants, extremely dramatic. 3 colourways, one soft, one warm and one bold.
