Fattorini+Rizzini+Partners fits that train of thought perfectly. It is not about which country you come from, which brand you represent or which name you carry: it all revolves around the final product. Many years ago in 1994 we started the production of contemporary outdoor furniture. Back then, this was a completely new concept: there was hardly any competition on the market”, says head designer and founder of the brand Dirk Wynants. Extremis was able to consolidate this trendsetting and innovative role.
The Belgian design brand Extremis is introducing new items on the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan. An extralarge picnic table by Bruno Fattorini & Partners is the showstopper of the new collection, which is named 'Marina'. The picnic set can seat over 40 people. The name 'Marina' was chosen specifically to conjure up a nautical ambiance and for its international appeal. The collaboration between Bruno Fattorini and Extremis comes to no surprise: Extremis-founder Dirk Wynants and Bruno Fattorini have been friends for years. Fattorini even has a picnic bench by Extremis on his own terrace. The new Marina-line is somewhat atypical for Extremis: Bruno Fattorini & Partners put the emphasis on product innovation, whereas Extremis usually puts the togetherness-aspect first. "We want to remain innovative and this revolutionary picnic bench is made of a composite of glass fiber and polyester. This makes it extra strong and made entirely in one piece; this means more people can sit on this piece of furniture than ever before. This way, the togetherness-element is present", says Dirk Wynants. The Marina-collection consists of a complete picnic set (table and attached benches); detached chairs and a free-standing picnic table.
