TALIS SELECT WORKFLOW
Countertop washbasin mixer
With its mixer range Talis Select, the shower and sanitary fixtures specialist, Hansgrohe, introduces its popular Select technology to washbasin mixers. The flow of water is turned on and off by pressing the Select button instead of using a conventional lever. Especially useful when soapy hands are involved: the back of a hand or the lower arm can start and stop the flow of water without getting the fixture dirty.
Hansgrohe’s Talis Select technology is purely mechanical and works by means of an especially developed cartridge. It controls the water flow and temperature by turning the valve. This added convenience requires no electricity or other devices in the base cabinet.
The mixer range was created in close collaboration with Hansgrohe’s longstanding design partner Phoenix Design. It is available in two versions: with a flat spout or a round, conical spout and with a lever- or a pin-handle. The aesthetic appeal of the range lies in its clean lines and the seamless transition of the spout to the mixer body. Clear symbols allow an easy handling. Now, thanks to the introduction of the Talis Select range, the entire bathroom – from showerheads, thermostats to basin mixers – can be equipped with Hansgrohe Select products.
The entire Talis mixer range features Hansgrohe’s EcoSmart technology. With the help of an aerator, the flow of water is limited to about five litres per minute – without sacrificing comfort. The water is enriched with air, creating a soft, voluminous water spray. Beyond that, water is saved quickly and easily by simply pressing the convenient Select button, which stops the flow of water. Talis mixers are also available with the CoolStart function: when the handle is set to the middle position, only cold water flows from the tap. For hot water, the handle must be turned to the left. This technology makes sure that the pipes are not needlessly filled with warm water, and that continuous-flow heaters and circulation pumps do not start up unless they are really needed.
