Booster unit with integrated solar heat exchanger

GP 9000HX is a booster unit with integrated solar heat exchanger, suitable to mid-size solar plants (~ 50 mq). The presence of the heat exchanger allows to couple the solar circuit with a buffer tank featuring no solar coil and to size the tank independently. The heat exchanger is a brazed-plate type and it is extremely efficient in transferring heat from the solar circuit (water-glycol mixture) to the secondary side (heating water). The main peculiarity of GP 9000HX is the presence of a three-way diverter valve, installed downstream the heat exchanger secondary outlet. An electrothermal actuator is mounted on the valve and it is driven by the solar controller. Once the secondary water has been heated, it is normally pumped back to an inlet situated at the buffer tank medium height, which is connected to the diverter valve's straight way. The angle way is connected to an inlet situated in the top instead, and it gets open only if the solar field heats the heating water to a higher temperature than the top tank one, detected by a sensor. This solution is designed to favour the temperature profile stratification, so to make the buffer tank suitable to differentiated uses (e.g.: instantaneous preparation of domestic hot water, high-/low-temperature heating...).

Both the GP 9000HX circuits are equipped with high-pressure head, shut-off valves, thermometers, flow balancers and safety valves. Moreover, a deaerator, two fill/drain taps and a check valve are installed on the solar circuit, featuring materials and sealing parts compatible with solar applications. 
GP 9000HX is mounted on aluminium frame and is wholly insulated.
GP 9000HX unit can be completed by solar controller IS4, offering the possibility to modulate the solar pump depending on the temperature difference between panels and tank, to switch on the secondary pump and to control the mechanical stratification based on the temperature difference between heat exchanger secondary outlet and the top tank.
