Kitchen with island

Walnut, Concrete

Design Year

Great diversity of material with the LEICHT kitchen Concrete. A newly designed kitchen island with an integrate dining table is now the centre of the living area.

Concrete has character. Familiar as a rough surface outdoors, it is a fascinating feature for interiors thanks to its unique, authentic appearance. LEICHT has already successfully implemented the material with its pleasant structure and vital-looking surface to advantage in Concrete and, in combination with glass and wood, has created elegant kitchen architecture. The company has now added a kitchen island with integrated table to the Concrete range.

Kitchens from LEICHT unite hospitality and homeliness with sophisticated kitchen architecture. They are resolutely open to the living area in design and thus fulfil representative purposes. The range of colours and materials reflects this, as does the clear, geometric structure and the harmonious interplay of all functional elements.

Further details
LEICHT has discovered concrete, a timeless and at the same time modern architectural material, for use in kitchens. Fine concrete is manually applied to a lacquered MDF base using the putty technique. This results in an authentic, always unique surface with a texture that livens up the front. Matt-lacquer sealing ensures high durability. There are four colour blends to choose from: an off-white tone, two different greys and a rusty colour.
The kitchen island with integrated dining table
A recent development of the successful Concrete range is the kitchen island with integrated dining table: amidst a calm, horizontal surface, the table juts out of the kitchen unit marking the end of the kitchen area. The new ensemble offers a generous but at the same time compact space for cooking, dining and having fun together. The length and width of the table are planned individually and can be coordinated to suit the particular dimensions of the island.
Successful integration in the living area
Virtually full integration into the living area is also achieved with the optically light, virtually floating wallmounted unit fronts and the careful selection of a range of materials which harmonise with the entire living environment: on the one hand, this is the authentic material language of Concrete, on the other the design of storage spaces, niches and unit fronts made of top-quality wood exuding warmth. Worktops and shelves made of satin-finished glass, optionally in a perfectly coordinated brown, create the impression of perfect harmony and quality; as do the elegant joints spaced five millimetres apart on both the horizontal and vertical planes.
