JARDIN | Door handle on back plate
Louis XIV brass door handle on back plate
Time passes and fashions change but style – and here we refer to the “grand style”- always remains topical.
This is also true of Louis XIV; both because of its importance and also its decorations inspired by nature, increasingly more interior designers are interested in this very particular style.
Jardin, the vintage collection of handles, draws inspiration from the most authentic Louis XIV and it does so respecting its style.
As in times gone by when skilled engravers adorned the most noble of rooms with their friezes, the Linea Calì designers now transform simple pieces of brass into objects with a huge aesthetic impact.
The handle on the plate that is entirely decorated is of particular interest. Note, however, that it is not just a simple “pattern”, but a fine floral arabesque; this is clear from the poetic floral motifs that frame the hole that houses the lock cylinder.
The imposing entrance set is also worthy of note thanks to the finely-worked knob, and the pull handle on the plate, where a triumph of marquetry culminates in a refined weave.
