Salvaging pre-used wood and giving it new life is very much in fashion, and is a response to today's high level of environmental awareness. Obtaining wood from the flooring of an old home or from furniture, pallets and packaging is both a sustainable and a creative strategy. The new Treverkmade series falls within this trend. It comes in the 15x90 and 7x28 sizes, the latter absolutely new in the wood-look category, in line with the return to fashion of small tile sizes. The inspiration originates from old planks taken from barrels used to store liqueurs; the resulting product has very original colouring (generated by the lengthy contact with the casks' liquid contents). The end result is a warm material, with variations in both shade and patterning, capable of making any context unique. An original, versatile product, suitable for use both in contemporary, urban and soft design interiors and in more classical and romantic contexts. Last but not least, the Treverkmade range is completed by the 40x120 20 mm size, to provide a solution for the trouble-free design of outdoor spaces. The unusual patterning is provided by placing two planks side by side. Each piece acquires strong visual and colour connotations.
