An elegant backed bench made in a historical style. The gardens designed by seventeenth-century Swedish architect Nicodemus Tessin number among his greatest achievements. His gardens were laid out symmetrically and flanked by broad avenues of trees. Classical statues were placed in particular sightlines to enhance the views, and areas for rest and contemplation were planned and laid out. Although none of the garden benches from Tessin’s era survive today, this elegant backed bench emulates the architect’s unmistakable style.
