Open sectional wooden bookcase
Piero Lissoni, Centro Ricerche Porro
System, the modular system with the typical open shelving making it a unique furnishing proposal for the house and the office here, is renovated for 2014 by displaying firsthand all of the colors and textures of the Porro’s new wooden essences.
The first System composition in heat treated oak, alternates open modules, two rosso cina and blu reale double-sided lacquered backs and a wooden hinged door. Presented in the space-saving reduced depth of 23 cm, it’s perfect for accommodating pocket books and CDs, because even the empty space is a key ingredient of a Porro project.
The second composition is a scenographic System bookshelf in the new reduced depth of 23 cm, placing all bets on the strong tactile impact of its finishing: teak, a warm wooden essence that varies from pale yellow to bronze with hints of red. In order to protect some of its sections, two-sides glass hinged doors with Iron frames are offered; extreme transparency enclosed by an elegant metal profile.
The third hanging composition of System bookshelf, is displayed with the reduced depth in the full and dark color of black stained ash, transformed into a sculptural object on the wall by the new LED lighting, while 2 hinged doors in transparent glass with Iron frame enliven its front’s design.
