Surface water-repellent product
A latest generation monocomponent with high resistance to ageing for “exposed” plastered surfaces. It protects all types of masonry from the combined action of water and wind. A fluorinated silane copolymer in a demineralised hydroalcoholic solution. This monocomponent is particularly suitable for hydrophobising protective treatment of all stone and construction materials exposed to weathering. It stands out for its strong water-repellent properties, together with strong resistance to ageing from UV rays. The main cause of the rapid decay of masonry is the combined action of water and wind. The result of this combination is that water penetrates deeply through the cracks and micro-cracks which are always present on surfaces. The main consequences are a serious loss of the insulating power of the wall, favouring the creation of heat bridges and subsequent spread of moss, fungus or lichen inside houses. Even during the subsequent drying period, the water causes further aesthetic damage to external surfaces due to the transmigration of salt or limescale residue.
