EVERCEM WOOD prolongs the life of wood surfaces.
IT consists of a ingenuous aqueous solution of silicates with the addition of a special catalyst, which allows the product to penetrate deeply. Reacting with the alkali present in wood it forms a permanent waterproof barrier.
Developed to permanently seal and harden wood products, the material penetrates through the layers and the cells of most type of wood providing an internal seal and barrier against moisture and other causes of deterioration. EVERCEM WOOD will not alter the texture or other physical characteristics of the wooden surface to which it is applied. It also provides a prepared surface for better bonding of varnish, stains, paint and mastics. EVERCEM WOOD is highly effective and versatile in a wide range of commercial, industrial and residential applications. EVERCEM WOOD helps wood to retain its natural colour longer.
Wood treated with EVERCEM WOOD also provides 300% better bonding characteristics for varnishes and paints. It also significantly improves the durability of timber against fungus, mould and insect damage.
Upon penetration the catalyst in EVERCEM WOOD reacts with the alkali and acids present in most wood cells, forming an aero silica gel membrane on the surfaces of the cell walls. This membrane forms an internal seal and a barrier against water and other causes of deterioration.
Over a period of time the silica gel membrane hydrates and hardens into a crystalline structure within the wood leaving a clear natural finish and no film or membrane on the wood surface. EVERCEM WOOD needs only be applied once for a lifetime protection.
EVERCEM WOOD has hundreds of possibile applications, both commercially and domestically. Virtually any wooden structure, surface and/or wood product, can benefit from EVERCEM WOOD.
Other applications include: log homes, decks, basements, window boxes, window and door frames, cedar structures, fences, kitchen countertops, cutting boards, planting tubs and storage sheds, to name a few. If its made of wood, chances are it would benefit from EVERCEM WOOD.
