Designed with architects in mind, the Modular Skylights system lets you spend more time designing solutions and less time specifying. Modular Skylights can be combined in a number of rooflight configurations, creating perfect solutions for a wide variety of building types: narrow corridors, internal courts, studios, large circulation spaces and much more. Each roof glazing solution is delivered with a special prefabricated flashing ensuring a perfect fit and 100% water tightness. Modular Skylights is the result of several years of research and design by VELUX and Foster + Partners. The combination of technology, innovation, imagination and expertise has created a flexible and beautiful skylight system that transforms any space into something special.
Modular Skylights system are sash-frame constructed single skylights with a high-insulating glazing unit. The modules are available as fixed and venting skylights. All individual skylights are delivered as prefabricated modules with dedicated factory finished flashings to ensure superior watertightness in every available solution. VELUX modular skylights are CE-marked in accordance with the harmonized standard EN 14351-1:2006+A1:2010 – Windows and doors. In addition the skylight modules have been tested and approved in accordance to EN 12101-2:2003 - Smoke and heat control systems –Part 2: Specification for natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilators. This means that VELUX modular skylights with ventilation capabilities may also be used as Natural Smoke and Heat Exhaust Ventilators (NSHEV). The VELUX longlight 5-25° solution is a single series of Modular Skylights that provides stunning lighting conditions to larger rooms, corridors and hallways. With its characteristic low-pitch design, the longlight fits right at home on flat roofs and other areas where a subtle expression is preferred. The longlight flashing allows for configurations with pitches between 5° and 25°.
