Oluce goes to Shanghai
14/11/2019 - Oluce flies to China for Salone del Mobile Milano.Shanghai, the exhibition dedicated to Italian design in the east, now in its 4th edition. Hosted also this year by the SEC - Shanghai Exhibition Center, this event is a key date for Italian companies that want to forge partnerships in the Chinese market.

The growing level of engagement that the exhibition continues to register from year to year is proof of the Chinese market’s ever increasing interest in Italian design and production.

The products of Oluce - the oldest Italian design company continuously active in the lighting field – embody the distinctive creativity, know how and iconic nature of Italian design, which has become so popular in Asia over the last few decades. And indeed, the lamps by Oluce are objects of great personality, able to blend easily into different scenarios of sophisticated elegance. Products designed by an incisive, decorative, aesthetic hand, with a subtle, almost intellectual kind of beauty that cleverly creates a dialogue across generations, becoming themselves an integral part of the very fabric of the spaces in which they are placed.

The selection of lamps presented in Shanghai all have CCC, the specific certificate for the Chinese market that Oluce obtains from year to year for its new products and collections, thus expanding the choice of its products available in China.

Alongside the products in the catalogue, Oluce also offers an extremely flexible product customization service for the contract market. Indeed, thanks to its Bespoke Tailoring service, the company offers the possibility of creating tailor-made lamps for specific needs or of producing modular variations of products from pre-existing collections.

This year, the stand will host some of the company’s best-known and loved icons - such as Atollo and Pascal (presented this year in the new bronze finish) by Vico Magistretti, Coupé, Spider and The Globe by Joe Colombo – in addition to the unmissable new products, presented during Euroluce 2019 – Ilo by David Lopez Quincoces, 1953 by Ostuni e Forti, Siro and Amanita, the works of two young designers. Marta Perla and Mariana Pellegrino Soto.

And the list of products chosen for this year event is completed by a selection of the company’s most contemporary lamps, including Superluna by Victor Vasilev, Switch by Nendo, Berlin by Christophe Pillet and Cylinda by Angeletti e Ruzza.

In Shanghai, the special edition of Coupé 3321 in gold will also make an appearance, a limited edition of 500 numbered pieces created in 2017 to celebrate 50 years of this iconic lamp designed by Joe Colombo.

Oluce operates in China through an exclusive partnership with Domus Tiandi, an essential point of reference for designers and design addicts with branches in Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen.
