The ABS Group began its story in the 1990s as a small artisan company founded in Martellago in the province of Venice, specialising in printing flags and banners. At the end of the noughties the company changed ownership and was taken over by the current corporate structure and after a few years moved to Vittorio Veneto in the province of Treviso. In 2019, it acquired the industrial complex of the former SNIA Viscosa, abandoned for over 10 years and, after careful restoration, transformed it into new offices and production headquarters covering more than 8,000 square metres. Investing in research and innovation, over time it has specialised in fabric printing for the design of dynamic commercial, corporate and exhibition spaces.
ABS Group and the aluminum and fabric system
The ABS Group system combines aluminium profiles and sublimation-print fabrics up to 5 metres wide, to create load-bearing, backlit, accessorised, decorative structures. This combination makes it possible to create functional decorative products to partition and furnish rooms without masonry work. From single backlit panels with customised graphics to entire luminous and sound-absorbing walls for the creative partitioning of interiors: ABS Group aims to generate a new language to translate any exhibition and communication project into fabric.
ABS Group and sustainability
More than 15 years ago, in a market dominated by plastics, ABS Group decided to blaze a new trail and put its faith in fabric, an extremely flexible, versatile, environmentally friendly medium. The fabrics are customised with sublimation printing, which uses specific water-based inks free from azoic components, fixed by pressure at a high temperature. Dialogue between the fabric and aluminium enables the creation of structures that are easy to put up and take down, for endless reuse and minimised waste. As evidence of its ongoing commitment to sustainability, ABS Group published its first sustainability report in 2024.
