AMPM is a French brand specializing in the design, production and marketing of high-end furniture and decoration. Created in 1997 by the French company La Redoute, the brand inherits from its parent company the tradition of craftsmanship that dates back to the early 19th century, with the founding of the worsted wool spinning mill " Filatures de La Redoute," located on the street of the same name in the town of Roubaix. The turning point came in 1928, when Charles Pollet, the founder's son, inaugurated mail-order sales in order to cope with the crisis in the textile industry. The company's great success contributes to enriching the catalog, which over time offers, in addition to textiles and clothing, furniture and furnishings. And it was precisely to offer a line dedicated exclusively to interior design, positioned in the high-end segment, that the AMPM brand, an acronym for Ante Meridium et Post Meridium, was born. Under the guidance of artistic director François Bernard, the brand is meeting with public approval, thanks to a unique style, a clever mix of contemporary luxury, exotic suggestions, country chic style and Scandinavian design. All made using noble materials and sophisticated details. There is no shortage of collaborations with reputed designers such as Emmanuel Gallina and Valérie Barkowski for exclusive creations. Born as a brand present only online, AMPM opened its first physical store in 2015 in the Saint-Germain des Prés district of Paris, followed by a splendid 300-square-meter space on Avenue Victor Hugo, organized like an apartment, and a corner at Galeries Lafayette.

AMPM sofas and chairs, iconic pieces for living

The AMPM catalog offers a wide and varied selection of living area furniture to suit every style need. The Rosebury upholstered furniture collection, designed by Emmanuel Gallina, stands out for its rounded design with generous volumes, inspired by the style of the 1930s. The upholstery is in soft bouclé fabric, declined in midnight blue, forest green and écru colors. The collection includes the Rosebury sofa, the progenitor of the entire range, a true condensation of comfort, with its seat as deep as 112 centimeters and seating for 6. The Lazare collection is a classic in the AMPM catalog, with its turned wooden legs, voluminous cushions and velvet upholstery that recall the Country Chic style. The collection includes a 3-seater sofa, small sofa, armchair with or without arms, ottoman, and sofa beds in 3 sizes. The upholstery can be chosen from the folder with 6 colors, chosen to enhance the aesthetic qualities of velvet. Emmanuel Gallina signs the highly original seating series of the Marais collection, which includes chairs and armchairs. Made of solid oak or walnut, they feature a three-leg base and an elegant curved wooden element that joins the back and armrests. The armchairs have upholstered cushions covered in écru or emerald green bouclé fabric. The prolific designer also signs the Camminata folding chair, which flaunts simplicity and sophistication at the same time. The frame, made of oak or walnut wood, has a geometric design that develops in the straight lines that unite the back and front legs, supported by the back legs, joined at the base by a crosspiece. The upholstered back and seat with bouclé upholstery add comfort and a touch of elegance.

From tables to storage furniture, AMPM's solutions for furnishing with style

Browsing through the AMPM catalog, you are truly spoiled for choice. From tables to storage furniture, from bookcases to beds, the solutions for furnishing with class are countless. Among the brand's bestsellers is the Maricielo round table, thanks to its original three-leg base in solid walnut or oak, topped with a tempered glass top. Elegant and sophisticated, it is also available in rectangular, low table and coffee table versions. Wood is still the protagonist in the Gloria TV cabinet, in the solid walnut base and the beautiful walnut veneer of the door and drawer fronts. The essential, minimalist design is energized by the beveled edges of the base and the generously sized cylindrical legs. Graphic and minimalist design for the Kanato bookcase, made of black painted metal. Thin uprights with a square section are interrupted or bent to form triangular compartments, connecting to minimal-thickness shelves. The aerial and unstructured appearance should not deceive about the solidity of this original open bookcase, which can be perfectly matched with the rectangular metal console table Romy, which sports a similar formal language. Exotic suggestions for the Saghil double bed, in which every element, from the metal feet and headboard to the mahogany frame, is covered with wicker reeds. Peculiar is the geometry of the headboard, in the shape of a trapezoid, to which the nightstands are attached. ... More ... less
