Azzurra was founded in 1985 in Civita Castellana and in 2018 opened the showroom in Milan. The company investigates the possibilities of the ceramic material through strong design research and the use of advanced technologies with the aim of outlining a
new way of conceiving the bathroom: a space to live in a fluid way, as a continuation of the living. The Bespoke Bathrooms philosophy of the brand is declined in the production, entirely made in Italy, of made-to-measure sanitary fixtures that expand the experiences of living by expressing multiple possibilities of cut, size and color. Internationally renowned designers and architects have designed the brand's collections over the years. Among these, Hera, designed by Daniel Libeskind and inspired by neoclassical marble sculptures, a tribute to movement, simplicity and lightness.
Starting from 2019 Azzurra inaugurated the collaboration with DGO_Diego Grandi Office redefining the corporate image. It is reflected in the new graphics of the catalog and website and in the temporary displays of the showcases of the Milan showroom, a visual and conceptual expression of Bespoke Bathroom philosophy. Many international awards and certifications have awarded Azzurra over the years. Among these, the Honorable Mention at the Compasso d'Oro (2011), three nominations at the Designpreis Deutschland (2011), the inclusion in the ADI Design Index which collects the best Italian design (2010), If Product Design Award (2009), Design Plus (2009 and 2011), Red Dot Award Communication Design (2009), Due Good Design Award (2009).
