Capoferri Serramenti produces architectural windows and doors. What started out as an artisan carpentry workshop specialising in the production of wood frames later expanded to include shutters, interior doors and staircases. Thanks to collaborations with such great names in design as Renzo Piano, Michele de Lucchi, David Chipperfield, Bohlin Cywinski Jackson and Antonio Citterio, Capoferri Serramenti windows and doors are used all over the world, from homes to large public projects. Each window and doorframe is made to order according to designer specifications and can be totally customised both aesthetically and technically, guaranteeing safety, light control and thermal insulation.
Capoferri Serramenti: large window frames and thermal break windows
Capoferri Windows for historic buildings, residences and international projects
The greatest challenge for Capoferri Serramenti is to create customised windows and doors for important historical or office buildings, places of worship or homes. Over the years, the brand has participated in the realisation of important works like the panoramic terrace at the Triennale di Milano or the Arab Emirates pavilion at Expo 2015. Capoferri's windows and doors have achieved high technical and aesthetic quality thanks to collaborations with international architects and designers. Partnership with Bohlin Cywinski Jackson has been one of the brand's longest lasting collaborations; it began in 2012 with a residence in Canada whose thermal break windows and doors were designed to withstand the most severe conditions of the mountain environment. Collaboration with the illustrious Renzo Piano led to the creation of the stainless steel windows and doors on top of the Pinacoteca Agnelli at the Lingotto in Turin, the emergency doors for the church of Padre Pio in San Giovanni Rotondo, and the bronze windows and doors at the Parco della Musica Auditorium in Rome. Capoferri Serramenti has been involved in many other private and public commissions, from hotels to office buildings, museums and temporary installations, meeting the expectations of clients and designers, even in the most challenging conditions.
