    Darmes is a high-end design and manufacturing studio launched in Montreal, Canada in 2016 by Alexandre Joncas and Gildas Le Bars. They offer modern and minimalistic design through clear and simple lines. Darmes ensures impeccable quality by favouring local suppliers. In 2017 and in 2022 Darmes was awarded an Archiproducts Design Award. Darmes’ signature develops at the intersection of a lamp’s expected functional materiality and a work of art’s reflexive effect. Alex Joncas and Gildas Le Bars found Darmes. Headquarters are established in the Quebec Laurentian Mountains, where Joncas pushes his practice, grounding the studio’s vision in his exploration of form, simplicity, and a collaborative approach to design. Alongside a team of selected creators and artisans, they foster a culture of reciprocity and innovative synergy. Partners in crime in both life and design, Joncas and Le Bars handle their craft with bold honesty and curiosity. Their human touch on industrial techniques generates timeless pieces—a testimony of their deep respect for materials and passion for enduring concepts.
