De Castelli established in 2003 is built on many years of experience and passion for metal. Albino Celato, founder and driving force of the company, is the latest in four generations of skilled artisans and craftsmen.
The company has developed rapidly since its inception in 2003. It has built a reputation in Italy and across the globe for bringing together stunning designs with real skill for working metals producing a range of products that combines artisan craftsmanship with advanced technology and project development. Stainless steel, aluminium, Cor-Ten, iron, brass and copper. Materials that are transformed by the careful, precious work of skilled craftsmen with their painstaking eye for detail and the high quality that is the hallmark of De Castelli products and which sets them apart from the rest.
In 2015 De Castelli took another important step by moving into new premises in Crocetta del Montello (Italy). Albino Celato wanted this much larger space so the company could work in two parallel yet quite distinct areas.
The first focuses on the interior and exterior furnishings produced to exacting quality standards that De Castelli is renowned for. Made following the company’s technological/artisan production methods and with close ties to internationally renowned designers, these pieces are produced for individual clients and are distributed to some of the finest boutique showrooms in Italy and abroad.
The second, based on the company’s strong relationships with designers and architects, has led to some prestigious architectural projects. These include the Archimbuto by Cino Zucchi made for the Italian Pavilion at the 2014 International Architecture Exhibition, and the OVS and Excelsior Pavilions at Milan Expo 2015 by architects Zito and Pedron. In the new premises increased focus will be given to this area with a dedicated growth strategy for the future.

The desire to design and develop ideas of increasing complexity has led the company to set up an effective system for the realisation of projects on an architectural scale. This system is based around a highly efficient project development office with rapid problem solving capabilities. The team is able to assess architectural drawings and client requirements to deliver solutions which are as attractive and creative as they are simple to implement and install.
Lastly there is the Materioteca, a large space where the many materials and finishes are on display, a space for architects and designers to meet as well as for cultural events.
Since 2013 De Castelli has had a flagship store in Milan designed by Michele De Lucchi. This store is situated in the city’s creative heart and includes displays of metals with unique finishes to inspire and drive the imagination. It is a place to discover and enjoy designs by architects and interior designers from Milan and beyond. ... More ... less
