1920-1989. A 1945 graduate of the Milan Polytechnic, Franca Helg was active in both architectural and industrial design, with major design work often in collaboration with Franco Albini, with whom she was long associated professionally, beginning in 1951 and continuing until Albini's death in 1977. She later worked with Marco Albini and Antonio Piva. After being an assistant professor of Architectural Composition held by Lodovico Barbiano di Belgiojoso first at the University Institute of Architecture in Venice (Iuav) and then at the Milan Polytechnic, she became a free lecturer in 1967, teaching the same discipline of which she became an ordinary in 1984.
