Giancarlo Fassina

Giancarlo Fassina was born and raised in Milan, Italy. He obtained a degree in Architecture at the Politecnico University in Milan and has worked on several projects involving Industrial Design and has created lighting for Artemide, Luceplan, to name a few. He is a recipient of the Compasso D'oro award for his Tolomeo Series of lamps which he designed together with Michelle de Lucchi. His work and experiences in different product industrial sectors have allowed him focus his design on projecting lamps & planning and furnishing exhibitions as well as museums. He has collaborated with some of the most important companies in the lighting sector, Luceplan included, for which he projected the lamp Birzi together with Carlo Forcolini. ... More ... less
