After graduating from the Polytechnic School of Milan and Alta Scuola Politecnica, Antonio Aricò studied metal & jewellery design at the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Scotland, product design at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia, and traditional furniture design in Spain. For him, design encompasses many different values, concerning both objects and people. As a member of Deepdesign Studio, Antonio has worked for the Barilla Group, Nivea Beiersdorf, Lavazza, Serralunga and Skitsch. In 2010, he participated in the ‘L’ Anima Sensibile Delle Cose’ exhibition at the Triennale Design Museum. Since 2011, Antonio has focused on his personal designs and collections, concentrating on just a few professional relationships with big Italian clients.

Always working and playing, loving and caring, Antonio has developed his strong passion over many years and has already been exhibited around Europe, in Germany at the DMY, in Italy during the Salone Del Mobile in Milan, in Turin for the WABI SABI show, in Poland in the ceramic museum of Design Centrum Kielce and in France at the Maison & Objet, for one of his collaborations with Seletti. His latest collection, ‘Back Home’, has had great success and has proven the excellence of his technical development and his tender love for shapes and lines. Having made many projects in collaboration with his Nonno (grandfather) and other family members, Antonio is adept at working in a team and he’s constantly open to inspiration and new ideas. This trust in the people he loves and in people, in general, has also helped in various collaborations with, for example, Garage Design and Seletti.

Close to his family, roots and culture, Antonio is eager to push his design boundaries but always with respect for tradition, his family’s traditions. Always following his emotions and feelings, Antonio is now looking to expand his ventures and create new partnerships around Europe and the world. Surrounded by simplicity, in his family and in nature, Antonio has rediscovered freshness, spontaneity, and smart, instinctive solutions – the same ones that his Nonno was choosing 40 years ago. And for both of them, enthusiasm has provided a strong foundation. Collaboration is now the goal of this young designer. ... More ... less
