Simone Micheli was born in Tuscany in 1964. He graduated from the Florence School of Architecture where he had the opportunity to study with such influential professors as Giovanni Klaus Koenig (his thesis advisor), Giovanni Michelucci and Bruno Zevi. In 1990, Micheli began practicing in the Tuscan capital. In 2003, together with Roberta Colla, he founded Simone Micheli Architectural Hero with offices in Florence, Milan, Puntaldìa, Dubai, Rabat and Busan. His professional activity includes architecture, interior design, graphics and visual communications. He also teaches at various institutes, academies and universities as visiting professor. In particular, he is adjunct professor at the Florence School of Architecture and at Polidesign and Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan.

His extensive production of objects, finishes and furnishings for the home and office includes wallpaper, lamps, chairs, carpets, beds and tables. In 1999, Micheli contributed to the birth of Adrenalina Design, an upholstered furniture company in Cattolica for which he designed numerous products: the Ata and Otto armchairs (both in 1999); Ubo (2001); S'Ims (2006); Shell (2008); Shift (2009); Atina (2019); the Worm (2007), Smooth (2010), Jelly (2012) sofas. For Euromobil, he designed the IT-IS Living, IT-IS Chair and IT-IS Kitchen collections, characterised by their essential and functional style. He has created practical and dynamic lighting systems: Mirò for Biffi Luce in 2010 and Dodot in 2019 for Axolight. Products designed for Barel 1956 include coffee tables, poufs, armchairs and tables.

His numerous architectural commissions for public and private clients have contributed significantly to the hotel and contract sectors. They include the New Urban Face in Milan (2008); the Oversea building in Chioggia (2012); the Houseboat in Puntaldia (2018); the Aquatio Cave Luxury Hotel & Spa in Matera (2018); and the Ausonia Hungaria Hotel in Venice (2019). Micheli has also designed a series of wellness, spa and fitness centres in Italy and abroad, including the interiors of Europe's largest integrated wellness centre, Aquagranda Livigno Wellness Park for Aquagranda; the interiors of the Arezzo Park Hotel for Gruppo Alliata Bronner; the i-Suite in Rimini for Ambienthotels; and new rooms at Hotel Londra in Florence for Concerto Hotel. For the Boscolo Hotels chain, he designed the Wellness Center for the Hotel Exedra in Nice and the "Atomic spa Suisse" at the Hotel Exedra in Milan. This last project won the "Best Of Year 2010" in New York in the Beauty, Spa, Fitness category and the 2010 International Media Prize in Shenzhen, China, in the "Annual Club Space Award" category.
Simone Micheli has curated numerous exhibitions and installations at major international trade fairs and exhibited at the Venice Architecture Biennale. His work is featured in many exhibitions and publications.
