Fiandre, leading brand of Iris Ceramica Group in the production of
hi-end ceramics, is present in over 100 countries with a wide choice of solutions for
floors,
walls and furniture which range from the contract to the wellness and residential industry, and from the medical to the leisure industry, responding to all building requirements. It was the first of the companies in the industry to believe in
porcelain surfaces. It continued with undeniable success enabling the brand to communicate in the presence of Italian leaders such as Ferrari, Fendi, Fiat and Armani and giants like Dior, Jaguar, Givenchy and Nike. A 60 years’ history, during which quality and innovation went hand in hand, bringing the company into a predominant market position. The pureness of the raw materials, along with the most advanced technology and the study of the design trends guarantee long-lasting results. Constant updating of the technological tools enables it to best protect the environment from the effects of industrialisation. Fiandre is making its entry into the future with the bactericidal and anti-pollution Active Surfaces® and Maximum, an extraordinary format with an area of 4.5 m2. At last Hypertouch, the capacitive surface that enhances design functions beyond imagination.
Fiandre with wood, marble, stone or concrete effects
Fiandre's technology allows the creation of high-end porcelain stoneware slabs. The
Bois Urban collection offers a wood effect with variants of tone-on-tone veining; reminiscent of an elegant parquet with a matt finish, it is suitable for rustic and contemporary contexts. Among the stone-effect collections,
Neo Genesis has soft veining and a delicate texture, while
Fjord has a more rocky surface inspired by North Sea cliffs beaten by winds and seawater.
Magneto Rust is a cement-effect wall/floor tile whose surface is obtained through metallic oxidation processes.
Fiandre: large slabs and eco-active materials
Fiandre has made a name for itself in the industry since the 1960s, offering unusual porcelain stoneware formats. At the time, the 20x20 cm format was considered remarkable, but the company never stopped trying to innovate and now offers large tiles of imposing dimensions. The
Maximum collection offers the largest size on the market - 300 x 150 cm slabs ( 4.5 square meters) with very thin thicknesses (6 mm) and a weight of just 14 kg per m2. These characteristics allow infinite applications in private and contract contexts. This versatile solution is suitable not only for floors and walls but also for worktops, countertops, partitions and even yacht cladding. Here too, environmental impacts are not left to chance. The reduced thickness saves on raw materials and, consequently, on the energy needed for production, compared to the use of quarried material. Such dimensions also create interesting aesthetic effects, including the possibility of creating plays of light and shadow. Fiandre has focused on Active Surfaces® eco-active materials in collaboration with the University of Milan. These materials have photocatalytic, anti-pollution, antibacterial and anti-viral properties and are the only ones with ISO certification and two European patents. When used on exterior façades, Active Surfaces® slabs can eliminate air pollutants before they can penetrate the building through air conditioning vents. When used inside, they effectively combat the presence of bacteria and pathogens, thanks to their photo-catalytic properties, which respond to both natural and artificial light. The exterior panels are "self-cleaning" with simple rainwater and thus require less complex maintenance than standard slabs, with net energy savings and decreased environmental impacts.
