GANDIABLASCO 1941 – 2018

Family company GANDIABLASCO was founded by José Gandía Blasco in the 1940s and reinvented by his son José A. Gandía-Blasco, the current Chairman, together with his team led by Sergio Pastor, Director General.

GANDIABLASCO is 77 years old without forgetting its roots: a long journey that began in the Valencia textile industry in 1941, moving to the design of furniture and outdoor spaces in the mid-90s and now distributed in more than 90 countries on the 5 continents as well as in its own showrooms. 77 years later, 3 generations continue in the GANDIABLASCO team, José and his children Álvaro, Commercial Director and company Vice-Chairman, and Alejandra, Creative and Communication Deputy Director.

José redefined the company's business and creative strategy, introducing design and innovation as its philosophy. The distinctive style of GANDIABLASCO was marked by its personality and its Mediterranean roots, which gradually became the company's unique selling point. In 2004 José decided to start working with Mapi Millet. They're old friends, with very similar tastes and sensitivities. The company's textile tradition continued with the creation of the GAN brand, the GANDIABLASCO handmade design brand, under the management of Mapi Millet, which is still growing across the world. The move towards contemporary architecture came with the creation of the Outdoor Spaces range, with modules and pergolas that expanded the company's market niche. GANDIABLASCO brand products are manufactured by Valencian companies, which contributes to supporting the local economy. The company is staffed by young, determined entrepreneurs who believe in their work and who contribute the essential factor for achieving success: the excitement of a team with belief in their project.

We work in tune with the sensitivity of architects and designers on the national and international scene. At GANDIABLASCO we have always wanted to enrich the variety and style of our products through the diverse languages of the various designers work with. They are all renowned professionals, like Neri&Hu, Borja García, Fran Silvestre, Mario Ruiz, Romero Vallejo, Odosdesign, Nendo, Francesco Sillitti... and José A. Gandia-Blasco himself.

The elemental and architectural geometry of the company's first collection became known for its ability to respond to canons of timelessness and universality. Its streamlined, purely architectural design, made with contours of aluminium combined with polyethylene, opened up market niches that had never existed before, enabling the company to expand across all 5 continents. Purity of design with architectural lines defines the personality of GANDIABLASCO creations, together with the idea of large collections. More than furniture, they are fresh, elegant products that complement each other to produce settings for enjoying the outdoors in true Mediterranean style.

GANDIABLASCO has grown in recent years. Its outdoor furniture collections captivated people all over the world, offering standards of quality and design never seen before. Nowadays, the brand's stores and showrooms can be found in more than 90 countries, in cities like New York, Hong Kong, Madrid, Oporto, Los Angeles, Barcelona, Miami...

The company has a distribution network covering all five continents. Displaying its collections at major International Design Fairs has enabled the brand to internationalise: Salone del Mobile in Milan, Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, ICFF in New York, Maison & Objet Paris, IMM Cologne, IFFS Singapore, HD Las Vegas and so on.

Since embedding design in the DNA of GANDIABLASCO, making the company's added value, the high standards of quality in our collections have been distinguished with a number of prizes and awards:
