Doors and entrance doors by Hörmann
During the ‘50s Hörmann launched the production of the
Berry up-and-over door a new typology of
up-and-over garage door. Such
sectional doors that open vertically to optimize the space are designed for industrial and commercial buildings. The
Berry N80 wood garage door consists of up-and-over doors for residential use, with a manual opening configured for automation. Made of a glazed tubular rectangular frame, Berry N80 features an outer layer in beads of natural Nordic pine treated with a neutral impregnating varnish that is laid over the glazed layer. The door is opened and closed through a double-sided and adjustable self-locking system, a lock with profile half cylinder, external handle and internal security handle. Moreover, every door features four fixed windows made of acrylic sheets installed on the upper part. Ten years later, the production looks totally scaled. Today it includes

sliding industrial doors and
vertically sliding,
entrance doors and indoor doors, frames, automation for doors and industrial doors,
fire closures,
loading technology and
control systems for doors and accesses. Hörmann access control systems
For access control systems Hörmann relies upon solutions such as
OktaBlock, a certified temporary bollard to protect people’s safety during public events. Due to its geometry with asymmetrical axes and to its mobile locking structure, it cushions the impact with vehicles and e always able to grant a way out free of obstacles. Ideal for large spaces, Oktablock can also be used in narrow roads, pedestrian crossings, or cycling paths as it can be arranged in regular or scattered rows, or individually. The Oktablock system is ready-to-use and can be easily and quickly installed and removed. The
Road Blocker is, on the other hand, a mechanism ensuring high security to gateways and exits of up to six meters width. The
High Security Line was designed by Hörmann for areas requiring maximum security, such as government buildings, airports, locations where important events take place or other sensitive areas. This line has been certified through crash tests performed by globally recognized verification institutes accredited to release the official homogenization. The High Security Line bollard produced by Hörmann features a uniform aesthetics so to offer security without giving up on an appealing look.
