The Marca Corona story began in 1741 in Sassuolo, in the heart of the Emilia district famed worldwide for ceramics manufacturing. Today, Marca Corona offers totally Made-in-Italy porcelain stoneware floor and wall tiles, a complete and versatile gamma of products ranging from small format ceramics to large slabs and outdoor cladding. Since 1982 - with Atlas Concorde, Ceramiche Caesar, Ceramiche Supergres, Mirage, Refin Ceramiche, Fap Ceramiche, Ceramiche Keope and Infinity - Marca Corona has been part of the Concorde Group, the largest European ceramics group with entirely Italian capital. 75% of Marca Corona ceramics go to the foreign market, distributed through an extensive network of local retailers. In 2006, Marca Corona USA was founded. The company currently coordinates a strategic logistics centre on the East Coast. In 2010, the Galleria Marca Corona opened to tell the company's story from its origins in 1741 to the present day.

Marca Corona floors and wall tiles

Combining function with cutting-edge decorative trends, ceramics is one of the most flexible materials among the many options for floors and wall finishes available to designers. The Marca Corona porcelain stoneware tile catalogue provides access to a wide variety of proposals for the most diverse spaces from Nordic to industrial to vintage to more contemporary atmospheres. The Nordic style is featured in the Lagom collection, a tribute to Karin Larsson - the artist and designer considered the godmother of the Nordic Style - translated into a line of ceramics that reinterprets the concept of wood, starting with the most popular in Northern Europe: oak. The search for contemporary, elegant spaces finds its answer in collections like Arkistone - born from the desire to find stone's most stylish soul. It is available in two finishes, natural and structured, and six sizes, including the innovative 80x80 cm and the 120x278 cm formats. Phase is a series of porcelain stoneware floor and wall tiles created by combining a fine-grained cement base with a rougher mix.
Among the Sassuolo-based brand's most recent proposals for interior ceramics is the Terra.Art collection that reinterprets the decorated cement tiles of the Terra collection, a vintage-inspired colour palette that is articulated in small sizes - the classic 20x20 cm and the 25x21.6 cm hexagon - and in the collection's geometric-floral decorations. Finally, to respond to the most recent taste trends, Marca Corona has developed innovative projects like Bl'ker: a ceramics product that reinterprets the material known as OSB. Oriented Strand Board (the material used, for example, by Andrea Caputo for the design of SuperSalone 2021) is a panel made up of layers of wood lamellas, glued and pressed to become more compact and resistant. Many of Marca Corona's collections can be used outdoors thanks to porcelain stoneware's resistance to the wear and tear of time and the stresses of atmospheric phenomena.

Marca Corona Gallery

Inaugurated in 2010 at the company's new headquarters in Sassuolo, Marca Corona Gallery collects and exhibits the artistic ceramics produced from 1741 to the first half of the twentieth century - from the earliest crockery and furnishing objects to street name and number plaques and decorated floor and wall tiles. The gallery also contains objects from the "Rubbiani Factory Museum", established in the 19th century next to the Contrada del Borgo factory. The multimedia exhibition space, designed by Progettisti Associati and divided into six rooms dedicated to different eras, allows visitors to understand the brand’s various ceramics productions in their historical and cultural contexts. ...
