29/10/2020 - Pure lines inspired by the glamor of Mid-Century American style. Minottipresents Connery, a new modular seating system conceived by Rodolfo Dordoni, whose design recalls the artisanal techniques used for the production of luggage and leather goods.
“The name Connery evokes that futuristic look from our recent past. It reminds us of imaginative sets, and futuristic avant-garde atmospheres', explains Dordoni.
Along with fabric upholstery, the padded structural base can be 'dressed up' with leather strips embellished with stitching borrowed from the world of luggage. This concept is also reflected in the headrests and Flap shelves, available in a Moka open-pore lacquered ash veneer, harmoniously integrated with the seating elements or positioned at their ends as surfaces that enrich the compositions with liveliness and rhythm.
The sofa has an airy feel thanks to a base in thin blades of polished aluminum set back from the edge and almost invisible to the eye. Their reflective surfaces give lightness to the system and enrich its aesthetics, recalling the metal parts of trunks and suitcases.
Extremely versatile in the selection and combination of materials and compositions, Connery offers a varied and customizable range of choices from longer square chaise-longues to circular elements that can be combined with the sofa to create comfortable nest-like atolls.
Architectural appeal, balanced volumes and refined forms create a seating system with great personality, individuality and an immediately visible aesthetic and formal quality. Islands of relaxation interpret space and express Minotti's custom-tailored approach with authenticity.
