A 'Collector's House' Between Art and Design

09/10/2020 - Desalto presents its new showroom curated by the brand's art director, Gordon Guillaumier.
Design and art are the costars in an exhibition space divided into two distinct areas. The first is conceived as a collector's home, where furniture and artworks coexist and connect to create a rich and unique aesthetic dialogue. The project brings together works by artists of different generations selected by Chiara Rusconi, founder of the renowned and prestigious contemporary art gallery “A Palazzo Gallery” in Brescia.

Drawings, pictorial tapestries, ceramics, paintings and digital embroidery mingle with the numerous pieces from the rich and varied Desalto collection.

Nearby, a more essential space hosts the latest items designed and produced in 2020. The Fourmore table designed by Gordon Guillaumier perfectly balances formal rigor with technical functionality. The Stac system of modular cabinets designed by Giacomo Moor features light lines with a strong structural aesthetic. Engineered geometry is a key feature of the L45 tables designed by Giacomo Poletti. These different ways of interpreting the idea of furniture all share the brand philosophy based on solid design, clean lines, superior technical performance and intrinsic quality.

Visitors to the Desalto showroom will experience the always-intriguing relationship between art and everyday objects, brought to life when two disciplines – art and design – meet and interact, both emanating the same deep sense of intense harmony and beauty.
