Actiu Recreates a Hotel Lobby at Hábitat
17/09/2019 - Actiu is resuming its relationship with Hábitat again this year from 17th to 20th September with an innovative proposal: staging a hotel lobby at the heart of the hall that has been allocated for design brands. It's a space where the Alicante-based company will showcase its special vision for equipping, profitting and optimising these communal spaces, which are experiencing a new revolution where new tailor-made services are being offered to each user. At Stand C12, on Level 3, in Hall 1, Actiu will recreate the entrance hall and meeting areas of a hotel with spaces that are constantly evolving, and uses that intertwine, where furniture is key to guaranteeing comfort, versatility and flexibility. There will be different rooms with never before seen products in a hotel, such as adjustable tables, tables with power points, formal and informal meeting areas or collaborative spaces. All of this is designed by ESNE and developed by Cosín Estudio in an experiential proposal where new uses of the Whass, Bend, Longo Pod, Power and Talent lines can be rediscovered, and the new Noom collection, a highly versatile line of chairs, armchairs and stools which can adapt to any space, need or time of the day, can be showcased. Karbon, Actiu's carbon fibre chair, will have its own space where it will show the unprecedented qualities of a work of art that provides individual, unique personality to any room.  Noom, ACTIU

The furniture lines that Actiu will showcase at Hábitat allow for transversal and collaborative spaces to be created which are able to adapt to every need and every moment. Pieces manufactured for intensive use, which are modular and easily movable, can act as a tool to transform lobbies that are wanting to become something much more than waiting areas or places people merely pass on through. Within this same setting, Actiu is organising two round tables on Thursday 19th September. The first one is at 12pm and will bring together top, internationally renowned professionals from the hotel industry, who will debate about the design of more collaborative and flexible spaces. Cutu Mazuleos, founder and designer at Stone Design; Rosa Colet, interior designer and creative strategist designer at Rosa Colet; Rafa de Ramón, CEO at Utópicus; Amparo Pérez-Jorge, architect and product design manager ad NH Hotel Group and Actiu's global sales director, Fernando Seva, moderated by Actiu's brand director, Soledat Berbegal and the strategic hospitality consultant, Mireia Cervera, they will debate about the challenges in the hotel industry and the changes in their communal areas.

On Thursday 19th September at 5pm, Actiu will also welcome the official presentation of the Woman in Office Design movement in Valencia to its stand. It's a meeting between professional women in the design industry who aim to create a forum where they can share professional experiences and provide visibility to female talent in the design, interior design and architecture sectors.

In order to do so, Actiu has organised a round table with different female professionals who will have an open discussion with the public to reflect on formulas that will allow women to gain greater visibility.
